Movie Night at the Museum

Needing a break from their mundane and stressful lives, housewife Thelma (Geena Davis) and waitress Louise (Susan Sarandon) plan a weekend fishing trip, which takes a dramatic turn.

After Louise shoots a man attempting to assault Thelma at a bar, they go on the run, afraid no one would believe their story and inadvertently become outlaws. The duo soon finds themselves in additional trouble with law enforcement, with an especially committed detective (Harvey Keitel) on their tails. A charming hitchhiker J.D. (Brad Pitt) joins them, and more crimes get committed along the way.

The screening of Thelma & Louise takes place 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, in the Swanberg Classroom at the Northwest Montana History Museum, 124 Second Ave. E., Kalispell. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Host and educator Jacob Thomas will provide prescreening remarks.

Admission and popcorn are free, with soda, water, beer, and wine available for purchase. Seating is provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own cushions or chairs for added comfort.
