Naturally, because this corner of the Treasure State really does seem to have the most of Montana (OK, maybe we’re biased), the region is well represented in the Montana Historical Society’s recent publication A History of Montana in 101 Places.
Not to be outdone, Kalispell specifically has a few sites in the book. We mentioned one in an earlier post–Woodland Park (included in the book for its status as a WPA project)–but there are more, such as the location pictured above.
